A couple of years ago <br />Ramsey and Anoka successfully collaborated in applying for Federal funding for this <br />trail that will emanate from Anoka's Mississippi Community Park, across <br />approximately one -mile of King's Island to Ramsey's side, then 'up the hill' to the <br />terminus of Rivlyn Avenue. This trail will be part of a larger system of trails that will <br />extend west to Mississippi West Regional Park, ultimately across the highway to the <br />COR and eventually to the City of Elk River and beyond. <br />In addition to the many destinations this trail will connect, most notably are parks and <br />open spaces. Below is an aerial view of the 80-acre King's Island (east of Rivlyn <br />Avenue) to provide an example of but one of the park spaces this trail will provide <br />immediate access to. <br />The trail when completed will allow you and your family to safely access miles of <br />biking and amenities and at the same time give you choices in mobility other than in an <br />auto.
