6.5. The City reserves the right to cancel the weekly mowing if conditions
indicate that mowing is not needed. For example if conditions are too
warm, cold, wet or dry to require mowing. A best attempt will be to notify
the Contractor that mowing is to be canceled by Friday of the week before
mowing. The City may cancel mowing for any reason; and up to 3
mowing intervals per year, per site may be canceled. In the unlikely
event more mowing intervals than 3 would be interrupted, the City will
compensate the Contractor for the 4th interval and each thereafter at 10%
of the week's quoted cost.
7. Additional Requirements
7.1. All contractor vehicles are required to have strobe lights and back up
alarms on any vehicles (but not mowers) driving in parks or on trails.
Contractor vehicles must also have contractors name prominently
displayed.
7.2. Contractor vehicles must also go no more than 5 miles an hour on trails.
Contractor vehicles and mowers must also yield to any and all park
users.
7.3. Contractor or contractor employees must also have the contractors name
prominently displayed on their uniform or vest.
7.4. The City has measured the amount of diesel and gasoline for the zero -turn
mowers, 36" 'stand -on' mower, push mowers, leaf blowers and weed
whips; and finds that approximately 5 gallons of total fuel is required for
one mowing interval of The Draw. Therefore bidders should factor this
into their bid(s), as this contract is not indexed to fuel pricing in the event
costs go up, or down.
7.5. Contractor has personally walked and inspected the entire site(s) prior
to submitting bid.
15 I Page
