CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 04/09/2013 <br />By: Jo Thieling, Administrative Services <br />2. 1. <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Presentation of the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting - Background <br />Background: <br />The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Ramsey the Certificate of <br />Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. This is the 18th consecutive year (1994 - 2011) the City of <br />Ramsey has received this distinguished award. Established in 1945, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence <br />in Financial Reporting Program encourages government entities to go beyond the maximum requirements of <br />Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that promote <br />transparency and full disclosure.
