THOMAS KURAK <br /> By: Planning Assistant Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Kurak is requesting approval to rezone property along the east side of Armstrong Blvd., <br />north of Hwy. #10, from I-1 Industrial to B-1 Business to accomodate his plans to develop <br />commercial rental property. The subject property is approximately 25 acres in size. The subject <br />property is surrounded by various zoning; I-1 Industrial, R-1 Rural Residential and B-1 Business. <br />In 1988, the City did approve a similar request for rezoning to B-1 Business on the west side of <br />Armstrong Blvd. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />e) <br />0 <br />g) <br /> <br />Application <br />Site location map <br />Public hearing notice <br />Properties notified <br />Public hearing minutes dated June 6, 1989 <br />Proposed findings of fact <br />Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As a result of public hearing notices sent regarding this particular request for rezoning, the City <br />Staff has received some inquiries from the public. The public indication is that they prefer to see B- <br />I Business versus Industrial development adjacent to Armstrong Blvd. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the request for rezoning. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council adopt findings of fact relating to I~@.
