DEPUTY ATTORNEYS <br />MARK BERGLUND <br />Attorney Mark E. Berglund graduated summa cum laude from the St. John's <br />University in 2001. Mark graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School <br />in 2004. Prior to graduation, Mark took part in the Minnesota Law School <br />Judicial Externship Program and interned with the Honorable Philip D. Bush of <br />the Fourth Judicial District. Mark also acted as a Certified Student Attorney, <br />representing numerous criminal defendant clients. In addition, Mark was <br />employed as a law clerk for the firm of Yaeger, Jungbauer 86 Barczak, PLC, a firm <br />specializing in railroad injury and accidents. Since graduation, Mark has had the <br />privilege of practicing with his father, John Berglund. As an intricate part of the <br />family -owned business, Mark works directly with clients in various areas of the <br />law, including real estate law, corporate law, criminal law, and personal injury <br />law. <br />Mark has authored and argued a wide variety of criminal and civil motions, <br />argued to the Minnesota Court of Appeals as well as chaired numerous <br />arbitrations and tried dozens and dozens of cases, including a jury trial for the <br />City of Ramsey. Mark has been a member of the Minnesota State Bar <br />Association, Anoka County Bar Association and the Minnesota Trial Lawyers <br />Association since 2004. Mark currently serves as an investigator for the 21St <br />District Ethics Committee. He is licensed to practice before the Minnesota Bar, <br />the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Federal District Court for the District of <br />Minnesota. <br />OFFICE STAFFING <br />Berglund 85 Berglund currently consists of two full time attorneys, John Berglund <br />and Mark Berglund. The firm employs three legal secretaries and contracts with <br />an information technology specialist. The firm's hours of operation are from 8:30 <br />a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br />Berglund 86 Berglund occupies the main level of the 2140 Properties building on <br />the corner of Fourth Avenue and Van Buren Street in Anoka, adjacent to the <br />Anoka County Courthouse. John Berglund is one of the owners of the building, <br />which tenants include 11 lawyers, including the present City Attorneys for <br />Ramsey, Andover, Anoka, and Elk River. Berglund 86 Berglund's proximity to the <br />Anoka County Courthouse serves as an advantage to the firm's practice in Anoka <br />County, as it will for the City of Ramsey. The firm's attorneys and staff are a two <br />minute walk to the courthouse and all of its resources, including the county <br />recorder's office, sheriff's office, the Anoka County Jail, property records and <br />taxation, etc. The office location is literally on the way for any Ramsey City <br />official who needs to travel to the Anoka County Courthouse for court, complaint <br />3 <br />
