• • • • • • Michael P. Haag. Michael Haag is an attorney with the Law Firm where he concentrates his • practice in Business and Corporate Law, Estate Planning, Tax, Probate, and Municipal Law. Mr. 410 Haag represents Linwood Township in Anoka County and is responsible for all of this urban town's civil municipal law needs. • His extensive tax background includes a clerkship in the legal division of the Minnesota • Department of Revenue, and employment as a Tax Associate for Arthur Andersen, LLP. • In his practice, Mr. Haag has prosecuted various matters on behalf of the Law Firm for its • various municipal clients on an as- needed basis. • Mr. Haag was also an Adjunct Professor for the Hamline University Graduate School of • Business on a part-time basis, Nonprofit Management Program in St. Paul, Minnesota, and he • currently teaches Law Enforcement and Legal Studies at Alexandria Technical & Community • College and St. Cloud State University. He serves on the board of several nonprofit • organizations, was a Planning Commissioner for the City of Coon Rapids, and is a regular • speaker and published author on nonprofit, corporate and tax issues. Van Thomme. Mr. Van Thomme has been employed by the Law Firm since January 2010. Shortly after joining the Law Firm, Mr. Van Thomme became the primary prosecuting • attorney for the Cities of Ramsey and Bethel. In his time here, Mr. Van Thomme has prosecuted • hundreds of criminal cases at all stages of the criminal process, including contested hearings, • jury trials, and court trials. His experience, confidence and expertise in the field of criminal law is recognized by criminal law practitioners, as Mr. Van Thomme is currently the vice chair of the • Criminal Law Section for the Minnesota State Bar Association. In addition to facilitating section • positions on proposed legislation related to criminal law, Mr. Van Thomme frequently • coordinates and moderates at legal education conferences on current issues in the criminal law field.
