Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-03-061 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO JULIAN M JOHNSON <br />CONSTRUCTION CORP FOR CITY PROJECT 12-24, <br />2012 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT 352-(&76±',9,6,21% <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 11, 2011 the Ramsey City Council authorized City staff to prepare <br />plans and specifications to improve drainage within various areas of the City associated with heavy rains <br />in the summer of 2011; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has investigated and included other various storm sewer improvements <br />necessary to complete the pending 2012 Street Maintenance Program, as presented to the Ramsey City <br />Council on March 13, 2012; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, additional storm sewer improvements were added to the project plans by the <br />Ramsey City Council on April 10, 2012, also as a result of the heavy rains in the summer of 2011; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as of March 26, 2013 $86,913.88 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Civil Engineer II, Leonard Linton has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Julian M. Johnson Construction Corp. in the amount of $2,744.64. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1)That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Julian M Johnson Construction Corp. for <br />Improvement Project 12-24; 2012 Storm Sewer PrRMHFW±'LYLVLRQ%LQWKHDPRXQWRI <br /> <br />2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to <br />sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for <br />the date of March 26, 2013. <br /> <br />4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Backous <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />RESOLUTION #13-03-061 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
