<br />3)That the Ramsey City Council urges all citizens to plant trees as part of Ramsey’s <br />living history, to participate in disease and pest control programs that will ensure <br />an enduring tree canopy, and collaborate with partners and volunteers to develop <br />and implement policies to plant, nurture, protect, and steward our natural <br />diversity. <br /> <br /> <br />4)That the Ramsey City Council encourages efforts to maintain our historic sites <br />with significant tree species, enhance species diversity to buffer against disease <br />and/or pest outbreaks, promote replanting of native species and strategically <br />locate plantings for energy savings. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Backous, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />th <br />Council this the 26 day of March, 2013. <br /> <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />Resolution #13-03-062 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
