Enclosed is a copy of an example of the winter operating' <br />forecast that we get twice a day for the winter months. Also, listed below is an outline of <br />the issues that .are pertinent to the snowplowing procedures,, staff will verbally present <br />each of the following items on Tuesday night. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Plow Routes <br /> Three arterial plow routes <br /> Four sanding routes <br /> Seven neighborhood plow routes <br /> Five cul-de-sac routes <br /> One trail/sidewalk route (school walk zone) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Priorit3' of Plow Routes <br /> Arterial Routes (Sunwood Dr, Alpine Dr, 167th Ave, Jaspar St, Waco St, Variolte <br /> St., Industrial area .... ) <br /> Neighborhood routes <br /> School walk zone (2 hours behind arterial routes) <br /> Cul-de-sac routes <br /> Sanding Routes (as needed) <br /> Ice skating finks <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Equipment <br /> Four single axle trucks with plows, wing plows, and sanders <br /> Two motor waders with wing plows <br /> One front end loader with front plow and wing plow <br /> Six pickups with plows for cul-de-sacs and parking lots <br /> Skid steer with v-plow and blower for trail/sidewalks <br /> <br />Staffing <br /> 10 fulltime staff(two more on standby if needed) <br /> Three pan-time seasonal <br /> <br />s) <br /> <br />Salt and Salt-Sand Use <br /> Straight salt on arterial routes and high speed intersections <br /> Salt/sand mixture in neighborhoods <br /> <br /> <br />
