Case #12 <br /> <br /> DRAFT GUIDELINES <br /> FOR LOWER RUM RIVER WMO <br />By: Pete Raatikka, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Over the past couple years, the Lower Rum River WMO has been working on a water quality <br />management plan. The Lower Rum River WMO's engineer, Bart Engineering Company, has <br />prepared draft guidelines for managing surface water. They have also prepared two permitting <br />procedures for development in the district. One method allows the City to issue permits. The <br />other method (Bassett Creek WMO permitting procedure) requires all developments to go to the <br />WMO for a permit. <br /> <br />As your representative 1o the WMO, I would like your input on the permitting procedure and <br />draft guidelines. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review are the following: <br /> <br />1. Draft Guidelines for the Lower Rum River WMO June 21, 1989. <br /> <br />2. City directed permitting procedure. <br /> <br />3. Bassett Creek WMO permitting procedures. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City support the proposed draft guidelines for surface water <br />management in the Lower Run River WMO.
