DRAFT - JUNE 21, 1989 <br /> <br />that the chamber will be full of grit before the next scheduled <br />inspection. <br /> <br />Regional Detention Basins <br /> <br />Regional detention basins must: <br /> <br />Conform to stormwater runoff criteria. <br /> <br />Have water quality features and dead storage designed based on a <br />5-year (20 percent probability) runoff event. <br /> <br />Be designed in accordance with the NURP guidelines. <br /> <br />Include an outle~ control structure that effectively prevents <br />floating debris and oils from entering the downstream conveyor <br />system. <br /> <br />Sediment Collection and Nutrient Entrapment <br /> <br /> Wetlands used for sediment collection and nutrient entrapment must <br />conform to the criteria for on-site or regional detention b&sins (whichever <br />are appropriate). In addition, these wetlands and detention basins must: <br /> <br />Provide an outlet structure capable of draining the wetland or <br />basin substantially dry to permit harvesting of wetland vegetation <br />and removal of sediment. <br /> <br />Be harvested every fall (usually before October 15) by cutting the <br />vegetation and removing the cuttings to an approved disposal site. <br /> <br />2302047/LRRWMO.WP/SAM <br /> <br /> <br />
