B~nwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The proposed addition has an area of 50 acres ± and consists of 19 single family rural <br />residential lots. The existing and proposed zoning is R-1 Rural Residential District. The <br />average lot density is 2.63 acres 2 per lot. The proposed addition is located in the Southwesl <br />Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the West 10 acres of the Southeast Quarter o! the <br />Soulhwesl Quarter, both in Section 5, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka Count),,, Minnesota. (August 11, 1972) <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On July 12, 1989, City of Ramsey received application and sketch plan from Alien Sorteberg <br />for Sorteberg's 6th. Addition. <br /> <br />On August 1, 1989, the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the <br />sketch plan for Sorteberg's 6th Addition subject to the recommendations of the Ramsey Park and <br />Recreation Commission regarding park dedication, and directing the subdivider to proceed to <br />preliminary platting. <br /> <br />On August 10, 1989, the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission recommended that the City <br />Council require Lot 3 and 4, Block 3, to satisfy park dedication for Sorteberg's 6th Addition. <br /> <br />They received a letter from an adjacent property owner regarding the possibility of overlapping <br />property descriptions. This information was relayed to Mr. Sorteberg's surveyor. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that park dedication be satisfied by land as stated in the Landscape Architect's <br />Review of July 26, 1989. <br /> <br />Staff recommends preliminary plat approval as stipulated in the City Engineer's Review dated <br />September 28, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
