Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #I: 1990 Budget: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley recalled that on Thursday, September 21, 1989, City Council reviewed the <br />proposed 1990 budget and adopted a resolution establishing the 1990 tax levy. Mr. <br />Hartlev noted that because of the uncertainty relating to upcoming property tax legislation, <br />the 19~0 budget will not be published any sooner than is required. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley referred to Council discussions regarding providing work space for the <br />addition of a City engineering department and reported that the cost to rent two temporary <br />office trailers is approximately $6,640.00 per year. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley referred to Council discussions regarding the Airport Commission's request <br />for $30,000 in 1990 for continued airport study activities. Mr. Hartley suggested that the <br />dollars be placed in the reserve contingencies fund and upon a Council decision regarding <br />that airport issue, the budget can be amended accordingly. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to amend <br />the draft resolution adopting the 1990 General Fund Budget by removing $30,000 from <br />General Government and placing it in Reserve Contingencies. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-09-261 appro,Ang the 1990 General Fund Budget as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
