Absent: Commissioners Shumwa¥ and Johnson. <br /> <br />Case #7 <br /> <br />Request for sketch plan review of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition: <br />case of Harley A. Gordon. <br /> <br />Mr. Gordon was present for the meeting. <br /> <br />Merland Otto informed the Commission that Staff was recommending park dedication to be <br />satisfied with a cash amount for four lots. <br /> <br />Mr. Gordon informed Mr. Otto and the Commission that it was actually three (3) lots and he <br />lived on one (1) so it is two (2) lots that are being created. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated the amount would be recalculated in accordance with the actual number of lots. <br /> <br />Motion by Acting Chairman Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Lokker to accept cash as <br />satisfaction of the park dedication (the amount to be recalculated using two lots as the basis) and <br />to approve the sketch plan approval of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition as stipulated in the City <br />Engineer's review dated September 26, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Shumway and Johnson. <br /> <br />Case #8 <br /> <br />Reqpest for approval of concept park plan for Cedar Hills, Chestnut <br />Hills, 103 and Windemere Woods Additions: case of Chateau <br />Construction, Aradco, Inc, and Good Value Homes, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Wally Anderson, Aradco, Inc., Mr. John Peterson, Good Value Homes, Inc., and Ms. Doris <br />Carson, Chateau Construction were present for the meeting. <br /> <br />Merland Otto presented the background of the case to the Commission. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued among the Developers and the Commission regarding land value, the meetings <br />with the Corps of Engineers, the park layout (e.g. softball fields, soccer field, etc.), how it is <br />determined where the park dedication monies will be spent, how the park dedication figures are <br />arrived at and what is and isn't given credit for such as bike paths, right-of-ways, etc. <br /> <br />Merland Otto explained there is no guarantee which park will get the money at the time, <br />however priority is in density. <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION/OCTOBER 12, 1989 <br /> PAGE 5 OF 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
