Mr. Hartley recommended that City Council schedule a public hearing prior <br />to adopting the resolution supporting the proposed Anoka County Rum River <br />Erosion Comtrol Ordinance to limit the size and/or speed of boats and <br />motors on the Lower Rum River in order to prevent erosion. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to schedule a public hearing on the proposed <br />ordinance for Tuesday, December 13, 1988 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:48 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Case_~!~QA Adopt Resolution For Final Plat Aporoval Of Kellie Ann <br /> Addition_..' C_~se Of Ms. }~e!l.~e A~o~~.rO. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />adopt Resolution ~88-223 granting final plat approval to Kellie Ann <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting Ho: None. <br /> <br />Case <br /> <br />Establish R~ms~y City Council. Plannin~ And Zonin? Commission <br /> And Economic Deve!ooment Commission Delegation To Meet With <br /> ~ity Of Anoka Dele_~ation_: Case of McKinley Extension: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the extension of McKinley Street could connect <br />Ramsey and Anoka Industrial Parks. A delegation represented by City <br />Council, EDC and P&Z should be appointed to coordinate this effort, under <br />the direction of the Community Development Director, with a similar <br />delegation from the City of Anoka. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by. Councilmember Bawden to <br />establish a delegation representing the City of Ramsey in issues which <br />require potential agreements between the Cities of Anoka and Ramsey. This <br />delegation will be made up of representatives from the City Council, <br />Planning and oning Commission, and Economic Development Commission. <br />Further, to authorize the Community Development Director to arrange for the <br />initial meeting between the Ramsey delegation and a similar delegation from <br />the City of Anoka. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: M~yor Reimann suggested that Ramsey and Anoka have a <br />joint meeting at one of the city halls or a dinner meeting to discuss <br />extension of McKinley Street. Mr. Hartley stated that initial discussions <br />will be between the two city delegations; subsequent meetings can be <br />scheduled between the two city councils. Mayor Reimann and Councilmember <br />Pearson volunteered to serve as Council representatives on the Ramsey <br />delegation. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
