Resolution 588-234 transferring community television programming <br />responsibilities from Cable TV North Central, Inc. to Quad Cities Cable <br />Communications Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Bawden and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember DeLuca. <br /> <br />Refer to page 9 for further action. <br /> <br />Ease ~l: ~tree~ Improvement Fer ]56th Avenue And Hematite Street: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka noted that since the public hearing, the City has received a <br />petition opposing the project that is equal in number of signatures to that <br />petition requesting the improvement. Therefore, based on the City Charter, <br />the project cannot go forward. TLc residents of 156th have the right to <br />s,~.~bmit a new petition by changing the scope of the project, i.e. deleting <br />tlematit e Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that there is also a drainage problem in the vicinity <br />of 156th and Ramsey Blvd. that has been brought up for discussion several <br />times over the last few years. The City can proceed with the drainage part <br />of the project under the Storm Sewer Taxing District. <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen - 15631 Ramsey Blvd. - Mr. Hendriksen recalled that at <br />the public hearing for this project, it was brought to Council's attention <br />that road construction and construction of private driveways and ponds have <br />impeded drainage in the area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />accept the petition opposing the street improvement of 156th Avenue N.W. <br />and Hematite Street N.W. and direct City Staff to send out notices' to the <br />residents stating that the project has been dropped based on the City <br />Charter. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember DeLuca. <br /> <br />Mrs. William Tripp and Mr. John Gobernatz confirmed Mr. Hendriksen's <br />comments regarding drainage impediments in the area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded ~.y Councilmember Pearson <br />authorizing the City Engineer to prepare a drainage study for the area east <br />of Ramsey Blvd. N.W. adjacent to 156th Avenue N.W., to be funded through <br />the City's General Fund. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Council requested that Mr. Terry Hendriksen prepare a <br />list of names and addresses of any area residents that may be affected by <br />the results of the drainage study. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Counciimembers Sorteberg, <br />Pearson and ~awden. Voting No: None. Absent: Counciimember DeLuca. <br /> <br />Case .- .
