Final Plat Avproval To <br /> Bulow's Addition Request For Grantin~ Final Plat Apvroval For <br /> ~ulow's Addition In¢ludin~ EOB Minimum 30 Foot River Trail <br /> Corridor: <br /> <br />See Case <br /> <br />Case ~7: Purchase Of Police Vebicle~_: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann reported that Police Chief Auspos has studied the situation <br />and it is more advantageous to replace rather than rebuild cars after <br />60,000 miles. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the purchase of two 1989 Ford Crown Victorias for the Police <br />Department at a price of $13,471/unit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~8: <br /> <br />Submittal Of Aoolication To The Metropolitan Landfill <br /> Abatement Fund Demon!tration Pro~ect Gran~ For City Of <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart noted that December 14, 1988 is the deadline for grant <br />applications to the Metro Council to take advantage of landfill abatement <br />funds. The Landfill Commission has been working on a grant proposal which <br />is basically an expamsion of the current pilot brush chipping program with <br />a much more developed public information component. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />adopt Resolution ~88-23~ approving submittal of "City of Ramsey <br />Decentralized Brush Chipping Program" proposal to Metropolitan Landfill <br />Abatement Fund Demonstration Project Grant. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca suggested that Anoka County be <br />encouraged to purchase brush chipping equipment for use by communities <br />within the County. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden.
