Absent: Chairman Lichte¢ and Commissioner Johnson. <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEE'FING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following City Council meeting minutes: <br /> <br />I ) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated January 10, 1989. <br /> <br />2 ) City Council special meeting minutes dated January 12, 1989. <br /> <br />3 ) City Council regular meeting minutes dated January 24, 1989. <br /> <br />NOTE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMiS~SION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes d.:.,~ad <br />January 3, 1989. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case ~/1 Review Sketch Plan for Hofasek Addition <br /> <br />Gary Ostrum, United Power Association, told the Commission that U.P.A. owns 1 1/2 acres of <br />land and want to-build and electric substation'-but-tha't-tt' has to be plated. ' ' - <br /> <br />Mark Banwart told the Commission that the City was thinking of purchasing the remainder of <br />the land. <br /> <br />Merland Otto recommended that the Park and Recreation Commission accept cash for the park <br />dedication on the remaining 24 acres of land. He also told the Commission that a trail is <br />proposed to go parallel with 153rd. He also recommended that the trail be 35 feet wide along <br />153rd. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Lokker to accept land for the <br />east / west trail corridor within the United Power Association property, Lot 1 Block 1, wilh a <br />33 foot width along 153rd Avenue North to satisfy park dedication requirements, and for Lot 2 <br />Block 2, a 35 foot trail corridor along 153rd and the remainder in cash to satisfy park <br />dedication requirements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Hetland, Lokker, Shumway, Prall and Rustad. <br />Voting No: None.
