Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Review Action Plan Resulting From Council's Strategic <br /> Planning Workshop: <br /> <br />Mr. Hanley reviewed the draft action plan resulting from the December 17, 1988 strategic <br />planning workshop with Council and Staff. <br /> <br />},'lotion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded Councilmember Cich to instruct City <br />Staff and ~ommission members to implement the action plan. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembcrs DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a. Governor Perpich plan for cleaning up State rivers <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that the Cit',, has received a challenge from Governor Perpich to <br />clean up rivers within Ramsey city l~mits. <br /> <br />Council directed City Staff to issue a letter declining Governor Perpich's challenge and <br />indicating Ran~sey's role as a leader in cleaning up the environment through participation in <br />Keep Amerk:a Beautiful, annual clean up days, etc. <br /> <br />b. Purchase of City of Ramsey lapel pins <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann presented a sample of a Ramsey lapel pin that can be purchased for $.95 <br />each in lots of 500. Mayor Reimann recon'anended purchase of the lapel pins as a function <br />of public relations. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to purchase <br />500 lapel pins at $.95 each from McGitvary. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c. Discussion regarding Keeping of Horses ordinance <br /> <br />Counciimember Pearson noted that Commissioner Shumway has requested meeting with <br />City Council to review the proposed amendment to the horse ordinance that was denied by <br />Council in 1988. <br /> <br />Council directed that review of the proposed horse ordinance amendment be placed on the <br />agenda for the Feb.,mary 22 workshop. <br /> <br />City Council/Februar>., 14, 1989 <br /> Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
