Councilmember Pelerson stated that he has also researched and all texl books recommend <br />that speed control devices no! be built into public streets; they are appropriate in mobile <br />home parks, parking lots, park accesses, etc. <br /> <br />Case #8: Appointment T. Fire Board: <br /> <br />Mr. Harfley noted that Council recently adopted Ordin:mce #89-4 which re-established the <br />Fire Bored and changed the membership to in,7,Iude a member from the commulfitv at large. <br />Mr. Ha-fley recommended that the Fire Board vacancy ~ advertised. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councitmember Cich to advertise the <br />vacancy on the Fire Board in the Ramsey Resident. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Peterson stated that the Council should be filling that <br />Fire Board vacancy in June. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: Receive Bids For Central Park Turf Establishment <br /> Irrigation Project; Improvement Project #89-3: <br /> <br />Mr. Raafikka stated that the City received two bids for Improvement Project #89-3 and staff <br />is recommending award of the bid to Cenu-aI Landscaping. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-68 accepting bids for the Central Park Tuff Establishment and Irrigation <br />Project and awarding a contract to Central Landscaping for such improvement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembsrs DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: Receive Bids For The Rh, er's Bend Park South Development <br /> Improvement Project #89-1: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatik&a stated that the City received 6 bids for Project #89-1: staff is re~.omm,.ndin~ <br />receiving the bids and retaining the lowest 3 and deferring corm'act award until the County <br />and the Co~s of En~neers resolve some issues concerning the Rum River Bridge project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-69 accepting bids for the River's Bend Park South Development, <br />retaining the 3 lowest bids and deferring awarding a cone"act for said improvement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson.
