Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #17: Receive Bids For Parks Maintenance Services; Service Proji~cl <br /> #89-1: <br /> <br />/',ir. Otto stated that the city received one bid for Parks Maintenance Sen,ice Project #89-1 <br />in the amount of $4.1,724.50 to maintain a portion of the City's parks. If Council <br />determines to contract for park maintenance sen, ices, staff recommends award of the bid to <br />J.T. Noonan. ]Sir. Otto noted that the proposed resolution also authorizes negotiating with <br />the contractor to change the scope and cost of work to be done. <br /> <br />Mr. Harfley noted that the City has expended approximately $40,000+ in previous ),ears to <br />maintain all of the City parks, but not to the level specified in th~ park maintenance <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that contracting for mainten~ce of one half of the city parks will <br />provide the ciD, with data to use in comparing contracting out to/n-house maintenance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-86 accepting b~ds for Parks Mmintenance Sen'ices and awarding a <br />contract for such improvement. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Peterson inquired about past d,2scussions regarding <br />establishing a pro,am to hire students for park mainteance sea, ices. 5'5'.
