The City reserves the right to require sidewalks on roadways not stated in the aforementioned section. All sidewalks shall be as designated by the City of Ramsey Sidewalk and Trail map. Location and Size of Trailways Eight (8) foot bituminous trailways shall be established connecting City parks. All trailways shall be as designated by the City of Ramsey Sidewalk and Trail map in order to connect existing trailways. C. County Road 83 from 149th Lane N.W. north to Baugh Street N.W.~ County Road 116 from the intersection with County Road 57 to the westerly limits of County 116 within the City of Ramsey. E. Sidewalk and Trail Map The location and size of sidewalk and trailways established by this Ordinance are hereby set forth on the Sidewalk and Trail Map and said Map is hereby made a part of this Ordinance. It shall be the responsibility of the Community Development Director, or his agent, to maintain said Map, and amendments thereto shall be recorded on said Sidewalk and Trail Map within thirty (30) days after official publication of amendments. Design Standards A. Minimum requirements for both sidewalks and trailways. Pedestrian ramps shall be re.om:ired at all street intersections and shall be constructed of concrete per Engineering Department requirements. At a minimum, the ramps shall be in accordance with Mn/DOT Standard Plate No. 7036c, or subsequent revisions thereto. 2) Long steep grades shall be avoided; 6.0% maximum slope preferred; 8.0% maximum where unavoidable due to existing terrain. Flatter grades of slope shall be used at intersections with streets or other trai!way; 2.0% maximum slope. ~) Subgrade shall be shaped and compacted to 100% standard density. All topsoil, black dirt, peat, muck or silt soils shall be excavated and removed from beneath sidewalk and backfil!ed with select grading material. 2
