Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: Adoption Of Ordinance Amending Provisions Of Tl~e Sewage <br /> Disposal System Chapter: <br /> <br />ix,ff. Raatildca recalled that as a condition of the MUSA expansion, Metro Council is requiring flint <br />the Cit.',' update, it's sewage disposal ordinance to prohibit the. use of seepage pits within the City <br />and comn'mn'A drainfieids within the MUSA. Council introduced the ordinance amendment on <br />July 11, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmemb~r Cich to adopt Ordinance #89- <br />i6 which amends the subsection pertaining to alternative treatment systems of Section 150.0! of <br />the Ramsev City Code; known as the Sewage Disposal System Chapt::r of the City Code. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca inquired as to what impact this ordinance ,,,,,ill have <br />on systems that currendv do not meet the standards. Mr. Goodrich replied that substandard system <br />v,'ould be allowed to continue; upon their repair or replacement, the..,., would have to meet <br />standards. Councilmember DeLuca inquired if this ordinance will impact the system used at the <br />mobile home park. Mr. Goodrich stated that the ordinance prohibits communal drainfields and he <br />doesn't bdive the mobile park has one. Councilmember DeLuca requested that City Staff provide <br />confirmation at the next Council meeting that the objective of Ordinance #89-16 is to address new <br />systems. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
