Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request To Rezone The Proposed Plat Of Fleischer's <br />Addition From R-3 Urban Residential and B-I Business To R- <br />I Urban Residential; Case Of Doloras Fleischer: <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Baker was present representing Doloras Fleischer and stated that the plan is to first <br />rezone the property to urban residential and then seek an investor to plat and develop the <br />property. <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to reviev,, a letter received from Anna Boe dated September 27, <br />1989 seeking answers to questions regarding the proposed development of Fleischer's 2nd <br />Addition and it's impact on surrounding property. The Commission directed City Staff to <br />make a written reply to Anna Boe% letter. <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to amend <br />Item #18 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the proposed rezoning will be in <br />accordance with the specific objectives of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zin'tmerman, Commissioners Terry, Deemer, <br />Bawden, LaDue and Shumway. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion bv Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend <br />that City ~2ouncil adopt the proposed findings of fact relating to Doloras Fleischer's request <br />to rezone the proposed plat of Fleischer's 2nd Addition from R-3 Urban Residential and B- <br />I Business to R~I Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Teton, Deemer, <br />Bawden, LaDue and Shumway. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to recommend <br />that City Council approve Doloras Fleischer's request to rezone the proposed plat of <br />Fleischer's 2nd Addition to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Terry, Deemer, <br />Bawden, La_Due and Shumway. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Bawden stated that the terms 'business' and 'commercial' are used <br />simultaneously, yet there is no 'commercial' zoning in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart replied that there also needs to be clarification of the terms 'business' and <br />'industrial' with each zoning having it's own performance standards established. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/October 17, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
