The proposed one -lane parkway cross section would be adequate for the
segments of the EW1 parkway.
The other east -west streets internal to the project, because of their discontinuous nature would carry less
volume than either Sunwood Drive or the EW1 Parkway and would generally be under 4,000 vehicles per
day (and some would be in the under 1,000 range). Two-lane cross sections and stop (or yield control on
the lower volume ones) would be appropriate.
The north -south streets internal to the project would carry slightly higher volumes, particularly the three
streets that would have full access intersections with Industry Avenue. Those streets would have between
2,100 and 5,700 vehicles per day. The other north -south streets inside the project would be expected to
have less than 2,000 vehicles per day, with the exception of the NS6 Street that serves the employment
cluster in the southeast corner of the site, which would have upwards of 4,000 vpd. Two-lane cross
sections and stop (or yield control on the lower volume ones) would be appropriate although signals may
be required at the NS6 and/or NS5 Streets intersections with Sunwood Drive.
March 2003 Meyer.
