<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-05-083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO IMPLEMENT A TELECOMMUTING POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />staff received a request to consider allowing a telecommuting <br /> <br />policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, consideration for telecommuting arrangements will be made on a <br />case-by-case basis and only in situations where the employee can demonstrate a benefit <br />to the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, full-time employees, except those under collective bargaining <br />agreements, may apply to participate. Employees must have successfully completed <br />probation, received a satisfactory rating on their last performance evaluation and not had <br />any disciplinary action taken against them during the past year. Seniority will not be a <br />basis for selecting employees to participate in this program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />an application must be completed by the employee and approved by <br />the Department Head, the Human Resources Manager and the City Administrator; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, continued participation in the program is at the discretion of the <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Motion to approve resolution #13-05-083, to Authorize staff to implement a <br />finalized telecommuting policy, on a trial basis, granting staff the authority to <br />consider, on a case-by-case basis, any eligible employee's request for a <br />telecommuting arrangement. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />
