Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13-05-098 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCILMEMBER RILEY TO THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, in January of each year, the City Council is appointed to serve on various <br />Committees; and <br />WHEREAS, the appointees to the Public Works Committee for 2013 were <br />Councilmembers Backous, Elvig and Kuzma, with Mayor Strommen as alternate; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Elvig resigned his position of Councilmember Ward 1, <br />which was accepted by the City Council on May 7, 2013, which also created a vacancy on the <br />Public works Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Riley has volunteered to serve on the Public Works <br />Committee. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby appoints Councilmember Chris Riley to fill the vacancy on <br />the Public Works Committee. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 28th day of May, 2013. <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk Jo Ann M.
