CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 05/28/2013 <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Administrative Services <br />4. 12. <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Report from the Personnel Committee - May 14, 2013 <br />Case 3 of 4: Consider Authorization to End Contracted Building Official Services and Recruit a Regular, Full -Time <br />Building Official <br />Case 4 of 4: Title of the Command Position Created by a Recent Resignation Within the Police Department <br />Note: No further action is needed related to Personnel Committee cases 1 of 4 "Resolution to Extend the <br />Recruitment for an Economic Development Manager and to Hire One Additional Administrative Intern" and 2 of 4 <br />"Consider Authorization to Hire a Building Inspection Intern" both cases were acted upon by the City Council at <br />the May 14, 2013, regular City Council meeting --no further action is needed. <br />Background: <br />It should be noted that Personnel Committee Chair Tossey was absent from the May 14, 2013, Personnel <br />Committee meeting and Mayor Strommen served as the alternate. <br />Case 3 of 4: Consider Authorization to End Contracted Building Official Services and Recruit a Regular, Full -Time <br />Building Official <br />The Personnel Committee unanimously motioned to recommend approval of this case. See attachment for <br />additional detail. <br />Case 4 of 4: Title of the Command Position Created by a Recent Resignation Within the Police Department <br />The Personnel Committee unanimously motioned to recommend approval of this case. See attachment for <br />additional detail. <br />Notification: <br />The May 14, 2013 , Personnel Committee packet and draft minutes are attached. <br />Observations: <br />Recommendation: <br />Case 3 of 4: The Personnel Committee recommended the City Council adopt resolution #13-05-085 to approve <br />staff to extend the recruitment for an Economic Development Manager and to hire one additional Administrative <br />Intern. <br />Case 4 of 4: The Personnel Committee recommended the City Council adopt Resolution #13-05-086 to authorize <br />Staff to recruit and hire a temporary Building Inspection Intern from the existing Intern pool, or if necessary, <br />
