CC Regular Session 4. 8. <br />Meeting Date: 05/28/2013 <br />Submitted For: Patrick Brama By: Patrick Brama, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Introduce ordinances #13-12, #13-13 and #13-14 AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RAMSEY TO SELL/CONVEY <br />SURPLUS CITY OWNED LAND <br />Background: <br />The City Council discussed a case tonight (5/28) in Worksession regarding an economic development prospect <br />known as Foxtrot. <br />Prospect Foxtrot is interested in purchasing three City owned parcels. In order to sell said three parcels, the City <br />Council is required to pass a land sale ordinance The purpose of this case is to introduce a ordinance to sell <br />surplus City owned land; technically, three separate ordinances for three separate parcels. <br />Please note: passing an ordinance to sell City owned land does not OBLIGATE the Council to sell property. <br />Passing a land sale ordinance ENABLES the Council to sell City owned property. Due to Prospect Foxtrot's <br />timeline, and the lengthy process required to pass an ordinance, Staff recommends the Council complete this step <br />ahead of time.
