Council adopt a similar resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt Resolution <br />#89-02-45 recommending the transfer of 100% of the MVET to the road user fund. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, peterson and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cich. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Capital Purchase Of Tables And Chairs For Central Park - Park <br />Center Building: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the Park Center building is in use and there is a need for 4 tables and <br />24 chairs; Staff is recommending the purchase of same from Bertelson Office Products. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann noted that when making purchases, the quality of the product as well as <br />the price should be taken into consideration. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to approve <br />the purchase of four folding tables and 24 stacking chairs from Bertelson Office Products <br />in the total amount of $1,054.56; 1989 Park and Recreation Capital Improvement/Outlay <br />funds are designated for this purchase. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberCich. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />A) Ham Lake request to cost-share an assessor - <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson noted receiving a call from Ham Lake regarding the possibility of <br />cost-sharing an assessor position with Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that cost-sharing an assessor is a possibility but he prefers to take it into <br />consideration after Ramsey has filled the Assessor position. <br /> <br />B) <br /> <br />Discussion regarding Anoka County condemnation of Jim Martin property for the <br />County Park - <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann inquired as to how the City could address Jim Martin's concern with the <br />County condemning a majority of his property for park land. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley recalled that the City of Ramsey did grant it's approval to the expansion of the <br />County park provided the City would retain property abutting Hwy. #10 for commercial <br />development, but the City is also interested in preserving a corridor for the Mississippi <br />River bridge crossing. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann directed that discussion of the expansion of the County Park and the <br />l~fississippi River Bridge corridor be placed on the March 14 Council agenda. <br /> <br />c)' <br /> <br />Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s request for a conditional use permit for a <br />tire shredding operation - <br /> <br />City Council/February 28, 1989 <br /> Page 10 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
