CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 1989 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Community Development Director Mark Banwart <br />Merland Otto/Hakanson Anderson and Associates <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:58 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Art Raudio - Read a letter authored by Mr. Dennis Peck which indicated that area <br />developers would like to have a workshop meeting with City Council and City Staff to <br />discuss concerns with the platting process. <br /> <br />Kevin Brand - 8910 176th Avenue N.W. - Inquired as to the status of compensation for <br />loss of park land in Countryside Estates. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooctrich replied that there was a special City joint meeting on March 2nd. At that <br />time, City Staff was directed to pursue purchasing a 3 acre parcel scheduled for tax forfeit <br />in Windsorwoods; the letter to the owner was returned to the City with forwarding address <br />unknown; the City is unable to pursue that parcel any further until it goes tax forfeit in <br />October, 1989. An alternate parcel being considered is located southeast of 175th and <br />Unicorn and owned by Otto Sundberg; City Staff was directed to continue to negotiate a <br />reasonable purchase price with the owner. <br /> <br /> Brand stated that the residents of Countryside Estates prefer the parcel owned by Otto <br />Sundberg, <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve the <br />agenda vAth the following adjustments: <br /> <br />City Council/March 14, 1989 <br /> Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
