Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Mayor Reimann to deny Mr. Arnold <br />Klar's request for a conditional use permit to maintain one additional deliver3' truck on his <br />property at 16020 Potassium Street N.W. relating to the fn'ewood sales business. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca stated that he is not in favor of businesses <br />being located in residential neighborhoods but Mr. Klar has done a good job of maintaining <br />his property in an orderly fashion and it is understandable to need an additional truck to <br />serve as a backup. Mayor Reimann stated that allowing an additional truck would be <br />enlarging the operation when the City should be encouraging it's relocation to a conunercial <br />area. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann and Councilmember Pearson. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers Peterson, Cich and Pearson. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to table <br />action on Mr. Kl~'s request for a conditional use permit amendment and direct City Staff <br />to meet with Mr. Klar to draft a permit that would supercede that issued in 1984 to address <br />operation size and fire safety and allow for the addition of a delivery truck. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Qivh <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 9:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #6: Request For A Conditional Use Permit To Have A Temporary <br /> Office Trailer; Case Of Waste Management Of Minnesota~ Inc.: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart stated that Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. is requesting a conditional <br />use permit to have a temporary office trailer at the Sanitary Landfill on Sunfish Lake Blvd. <br />during the vertical expansion project. <br /> <br />The Council proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Findings of Fact ~0247 relating to Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s request for a <br />conditional use permit to place a temporary office trailer at 14730 Sunfish Lake Blvd. <br />N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s request for a conditional use permit to place a <br />temporary office trailer at 14730 Sunfish Lake BlvcI. N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson.
