Motion by Commissioner Ippel recommend Barbara Wiley be Commission. and seconded by Commissioner Fults to appointed to the Economic Development Motion carried. Voting Yes: Muller, and Hardin. Voting Commissioner Gorecki. Commissioners Ippel, Greenberg, Vevea, Fulls, No: None. Absent: Chairman Wagner and It was also suggestcd that Air. Pritchard be introduced to the Economic Development Company for consideration. CO~WLMISSION BUSINESS Case ¢~: Status of~arnsey Res/dent's Guide. It was suggested that the tree guide and information on Rum River docks and stairways be put into their o~m separate packets. Case #2: Update on t~amsey/Davton Mississippi ;River Bridge Crossing Metropolitan Council approved the alignment. Metropolitan Council requ/res city sewer tine for the bridge. A question arose regarding the possibility of businesses along Highway #47 losing business. A discussion ensued. It was determined that a new road would only bring in new business, and not be a detriment to businesses along Highway #47. Case #3: Rexfiew r_e~o]ution approving policy governing appointments to Boards and Commissions in the City of Ramsey With a grouting population there will be more people available to se~we. However, there is still a need for qualified Commission members. It is not seen as a problem for a person to serve on more than one commission, unless there is a problem with attendance. It is the feeling of the Commissioners that those persons who are not fulfilling their commitment should be removed rather than remox-ing those who are serving on two commissions and are fulfilling their obligations. ~Case ~4: Discussion of City participation in Flagship Industrial Park This case was tabled due to lack of time.
