Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: Adoption Of Ordinance Amending Provisions Of The Sewage <br /> Disposal System Chapter: <br /> <br />iX&. Raatit&a recalled that as a condition of the MUSA expansion, Metro Council is requiring that <br />the City update it's sewage disposal ordinance to prohibit the use of seepage pits within the Cit.',' <br />and communal drainfields within the MUSA. Council introduced the ordinance amendment on <br />Jul',' 11, 1989. <br /> <br />},,lotion by Councilmem~r DeLuca and seconded by Councilmeml:w~r Cich to adopt Ordinance #89- <br />16 which amends the subsection pertaining to alternative treatment systems of Section t50.01 of <br />the Ramsey City Code; tmown as the Sewage Disposal System Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca inquired as to what impact this ordinance will have <br />on systems that cu~ently do not meet the standards. Mr. Goodrich replied that substandard system <br />would be allowed to continue; upon their repair or replacement, the.',' would have to meet <br />standards. Councilmember DeLuca inquired if this ordinance will impact the system used at the <br />mobile home park. Mr. Goodrich stated that ',.he ordinance prohibits communal drainfields and he <br />doesn't belive the mobile park has one. Councilmember DeLuca requested that City Staff provide <br />confirmation at the next Council meeting that the objective of Ordinance #89-16 is to address new <br />systems. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
