Metropolitan Council
requires city sewer line for the bridge. A question arose regarding the possibility
of businesses along Highway #47 losing business. A discussion ensued. It was
determined that a new road would only bring in new business, and not be a
detriment to businesses along Highway #47.

Case #3:

~¢viaw resolution aporovin¢ .p0]iay governing appointments to
_Boards and Comm/ssions in ~;he CiW of Ramsey

With a growing population there will be more people available to serve. However,
there is still a need for qualified Commission members. It is not seen as a
problem for a person to serve on more than one commission, unless there is a
problem with attendance. It is the feeling of the Commissioners that those
persons who are not fulfilling their commitment should be removed rather than
removing those who are serving on two commissions and are fulfilling their
obligations.

Case #4; Discussion of 0il~y participation in Flagship Industrial Park

This case was tabled due to lack of time.

Case #5: Discussion of es~alplishmen~ of Economic Development A.~thority

Tkis case was tabled due to lack of time.

Economic Development Commission / August 9, 1989
Page 2 of 3
