Reinhardt

I have reviewed the proposal from the city of Ramsey for a
decentralized brush chipping demonstration project. I feel this
project is important, not only to eliminate this material from
landfills, but to educate the public of the value of using wood
chips as a mulch or compost material that is to be kept on site.
There is no good use for Concentrated large volumes of brush
chips that I am aware of. So the best disposal method from my
knowledge is on site in smaller quantities for mulch and other
homeowner landscape uses.

It seems that a lot of people like to get rid of their wood and
other organic waste someplace else. We all know we are running
out of "someplace else". Use and decomposition on site makes
sense.

Sincerely ~ ."
Philip ¥ieth

cc:Bruce Bacon

ADflAINISTRATIVE SERVICES
GAME AND FISH

* WATERS, SOILS, AND MINERAI.
