<br />Fire Board, the party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Fire
<br />Board" the governing body of a fire department jointly owned and ooerated by the City of
<br />Anoka, a Hunicipa] Corporation, of the County of Anoka and State of Minnesota, and the
<br />City of Champ]in, a Huniclpal Corporation, of the County of Hennepin and the State of
<br />Minnesota; and the C!."~.' OF P~',~! in :he County of Anoka, State of Hinnescta, party of

<br />F~re Board agrees %0 furnish fire prc%ecti~n, f~re suppression, emergency rescue,
<br />extrication and those ~:>er services normally and cus:omaril? performed by a fire
<br />department to the property loon:ed in, or emergency inciden=s within the boundaries of
<br />said City cf S~msev for the compensation and on the conditions hereinaf=er set forth,
<br />and the said Joint Fire Board further a~rees that when called to prcpertyor incidents
<br />within the boundaries of the City of R~msev its firefighters will make a reasonable
<br />effort to respond to fires or perform other requested emergency services, PROVIDED
<br />
<br /> l. That the road and weather conditions be such that the emerpency re~oonse can be
<br />made with reasonable safety to ~ersonnel and equipment, and the decision of the Anoka-
<br />Champlin Fire Chief or senior fire department officer in charge shall be final in such a
<br />
<br /> 2. That in the event al~ fire department equipment and personnel are en~a~ed in
<br />another emergency situation at the time a call comes in from said second ~arty, the Anoka-
<br />Champlln Fire Department will :all for mutual aid and any other help that might be
<br />available, because of the emergency or disasterous nature of the situation. Hole,,er if
<br />all means of providin~ service are exhausted, and in the dlscre:ion of Join: Fire ~oard
<br />members and :be Fire Chief or sen~cr fire officer in charge, such e~uipment and members of
<br />said fire department are needed in Anoka ~r Chempiin, the Joint Fire B~ard shall be held
<br />free and relieved from all liability to make said run or to respond to said call.

<br /> 4. if for any reason the Fire Chief or senior fire officer shall deci~e that no

<br />officer shall be final.

<br />to any other person, firm cr cor:cratifn for failure of the Fir~ Department of
<br />F~re 2~ard to attend a fire or to ex:inguish a f~re or for any damage to or loss of cools,
