CASE #4 <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REZONE LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 1, <br />BULOW'S ADDITION FROM B-1 BUSINESS <br /> TO R-1U RESIDENTIAL; <br /> CASE OF MR. ARTHUR BULOW <br /> By: Sylvia Frolik, Planning Assistant <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />M,r. Arthur Bulow is reauesting approval to rezone Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Bulow's Addition from <br />B-1 Business to R-1U Residential. The subject parcels are located south of the Front Street <br />N.W. extension and east of the Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. extension. The adjacent properties to the <br />east are zoned R-1U Residential, and Riverview Estates, located to the west, is intended to be <br />developed with single family residential lots south of Front Slreet N.W. The Highway #10 <br />Corridor Study also indicates that this subject area should be developed with single family <br />residential lots. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information are the following items: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Existing properties <br />c) Proposed findings of fact <br />d) Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on December 6, 1988 and <br />recommended approval of t,4r. Bulow's request for rezoning. <br /> <br />On December 13, 1988 a motion was made to table Mr. Bulow's request for rezoning in Bulow's <br />Addition. This action was due to the fact that until the final plat approval issue of the <br />Mississippi River Trail Corridor was resolved with the Environmental Quality Board and <br />Metropolitan Council, the final plat could not be recorded, and therefore the lots to be rezoned <br />were not of record. <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the rezoning. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion lo: <br />Adopt Findings of Fact <br /> <br />relating to Mr. Arthur Bulow's request for rezoning. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Approve/deny Mr. Arthur Bulow's request for rezoning. <br /> <br /> <br />
