For a five-member Council, the annual <br />rate will be reduced from a Dremium of $1,650 lo a premium of $530 - an annual savings of <br />S1,120 per year. This rate reduction applies to al! policy renewals after January I, 1989. <br />Inasmuch as the City's renewal date is October 1, 1989, the City will be charged at the higher <br />rate until the next renewal. We have also been notified of an allernative policy the League has <br />arranged with CIGNA. <br /> <br />Enclosed are copies of an enrollment form which highliahts~ the benefits and the ,-~ ,-. ~ -, ..I f~ll,~l i/,.,1(~ review <br />of lhe differences between Workers' Compensation coverage and the policy with CIGNA, <br /> <br />Mr. Ivlichael Hadtrath, the City's Insurance Agent of Record, has been asked to review the CIGNA <br />Accident Policy Option and report on his findings/recommendation. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Mr. Hadtralh's recommendation will be available at the meeting, <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Apt~rove/not approve the City's enrollment in a short-term disability and accidental <br />death and dismemberment policy for Councilmembers as offered through T. C. Field and <br />Company and CIGNA.
