Further Discussion: Commissioner Howell requested that City Staff be represented at the on- <br />site inspection of the property by the Minnesota Horse Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Vot,ag Yes: Chairman Zimmerman Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />HOwell, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Holm. <br /> <br />Case #5: Rum River Bridge Crossing: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwad reporled lhat City Staff attended the December 13, 1988 meeting of the Anoka <br />County Highway Department. II was reported that funds are in place and conslruction of 1he <br />Rum River Bridge should be complete by September, 1990. <br /> <br />Case #6:Mississippi Trail Corridor Update: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwarl reviewed' the proposed alignment and dimensions lot the Mississippi Trail <br />Corridor; City Council has authorized seeking approval of the layout from concerned <br />agencies. <br /> <br />Case #7:Street Lights As Subdivision Requirement: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwarl reported lhat from time to time, citizens commenl that there is a need for <br />street lights, especially in high density housing areas. <br /> <br />Molion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Howell directing City <br />Staff to research slandards and costs for installing street lighting in existing and newly <br />developing areas and the amount of lighting that will adequately address safety issues. <br />Further, 1o direct that a survey be taken, via Ihe Ramsey Resident, to determine cilizen <br />recommendations regarding street lighting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Shumway, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />Howell, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Holm. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hendriksen noted that the remaining cases may require <br />extensive discussion; that it is the Commission's policy not to address any new cases after <br />10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion failed for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Case #8: Discussion Of Park Dedication: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Terry to adjourn this case <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission January 3, 1989 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
