F~re Contract <br />Page '~3ao <br /> <br /> 2. That the Town ahall pay to the CITY each year this agreement is <br />in force and effect, a sum of money equivalent to one mill on the assessed <br />valuation of property in the City of Ramsay , in the area covered by <br />this contract. In addition thereto, the Town shall pay to the CIT~, <br />monthly during the term of tbis agreement, for all fire calls in the City <br />answered by the CITY Fire Department. on time invoices certified by the Chief <br />or his Deputy, a sum equivalent to $225.00 per run for the first half hour <br />of each call and $ 75.00 for each subaequent half hour or fraction thereof <br />of each call. <br /> <br /> 3. The payment specified in paragraph 2, above, shall be made by the <br />~Iown for an), fire call in the Town answered by the CIT"f Fire <br />Department regardless of how the call is received or by whom it is made, no <br />payments shall be due for false alarms unless the call is made by a resident <br />of the Tow~ <br /> <br /> 4. The parties acknowledge the fact that the CITY is under a similar <br />type contract with other muicipalities and that e fire call under any such <br />contract preceding a call in the Town could be a valid and reasonable <br />basi~ for the decision of the Fire Chief or his Deputy in refusing to answer a <br />fire call in the Town <br /> <br /> 5. Because the CITY has heretofore entered into mutual assistance fire <br />figbting agreements with other municipalities, posessing fire fighting <br />equipment and firemen, which equipment and firemen could be called by the <br />Chief or his Deputy to a fire in the Town , the Town agrees so <br />pay such additional cost as may be incurred thereby if in the sole judgment of <br />the Chief or hie Deputy such additional fire figbting equipment and firemen <br />are needed to fight e fire in the Town and are in fact called to such <br />fire by the Chief or his Deputy. <br /> <br /> 6.
