Existing facilities in the park include
a softball and soccer field along with four tennis courts and parking lots. Funding through
a CDBG project will expand the park facilities to allow people, regardless of their physical
ability, to enjoy the park. Approximately 5000 lineal feet of asphalt trails are proposed to
be established. Hard surfaced picnic areas will be accessible by paved trails from the parkin
lot or other, trail segments. Vehicular circulation will facilitate dropping off and picking
up senior citizens and hanicapped users at a 12' wide drop off area. A limited parking area
will be developed for seniors and handicapped parking only. This project would further expand
the facilities available by providing a fishing pier accessible from the handicapped parking
lot. Additionally, 11 acres of native grass/forbes are proposed to be established along
with canopy tree cover and screening.

LO CA TION
Division of Waters or lribotary No. (if known

Lake or Strea~ Na:e I County
Rum River I Anoka

Near uhat lo~n?

Ramsey

SUPPORT

Name of Supportin9 Group{s): Associations, Organizations, Units cf Govern.-.ent, etc.

]". £:i ty. of. _Ramsey
2.

4.

5.

6.

7.

Hembership Numb

North Suburban Advocates for the Handicapped
