2) <br /> <br />Every fuel burning heater shall be properly vented to a chimney or duct leading <br />to ouldoor space. <br /> <br />3 ) Every fuel burning heater shall have a fire resistant panel beneath it. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Every heater located within three (3) feet of a wall shall be equipped with <br />insulation sufficient to prevent overheating of the wall during periods of <br />maximum operation. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Every heater smoke pipe shall be equipped with guards properly constructed of <br />non.flammable material at the point where the pipe goes through a wall, ceiling, <br />or partition. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II1: PUBLIC HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICES AND UTILITIES <br /> <br />SECTION 110.193A - MINIMUM PLUMBING STANDARDS: All plumbing in every dwelling unit <br />shall be properly installed and maintained in a sanitary, safe, and functioning condition and <br />shall be connected to an approved sewer system. <br /> <br />SECTION 110.193B - MINIMUM HEATING STANDARDS: All structures shall have heating <br />facilities which are properly installed and which are maintained in safe and good working <br />condition and which are capable of safely maintaining a minimum indoor temperature of sixty - <br />eight (68) degrees Fahrenheit at an outside temperature of twenty (20) degrees below zero (0) <br />Fahrenheit at thirty-six (36) inches above the floor in all habitable rooms, bathrooms, and <br />water closet compartments in every dwelling unit located therein. Gas or electric appliances <br />designed primarily for cooking or water heating purposes shall not be considered as heating <br />facilities within the meaning of this section. Portable heating equipment employing flame and <br />the use of liquid fuel does not meet the requirements of this section and is prohibited. No owner <br />or occupant shall install, operate or use a heater employing a flame that is not vented outside the <br />structure in an approved manner. <br /> <br />SECTION 110.193C - MINIMUM WATER HEATING STANDARDS: Every dwelling shall have <br />water heating facilities which are installed in an approved manner, are maintained and operated <br />in safe and good working condition, are properly connected with the hot water lines, and are <br />capable of allowing heated water to be drawn at every required fixture at a minimum <br />temperature of one hundred twenty (120) degrees Fahrenheit. <br /> <br />SECTION 110.193D - UNITS AT OR BELOW GRADE: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />All windows located at or near ground level used or intended to be used for <br />ventilation, all other openings located at or near ground level, and all exterior <br />doorways which might provide an entry for rodents shall be supplied with <br />adequate screens or such other devices as will prevent the entrance of rodents <br />into the structure. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />All sewers, pipes, drains or conduits and openings around such pipes and conduits <br />shall be constructed to prevent the ingress and egress of rodents to or from the <br />building. <br /> <br /> <br />
