Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-04- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND DEFERRING AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />RIVER'S BEND PARK SOUTH DEVELOPMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-1 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the River's <br />Bend Park South Development (Project 89-1) bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Buck Blacktop, Inc. <br />Alber Construction <br />W.B. Miller, Inc. <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Barber Construction <br /> <br />$101,555.55 <br />$102,692.90 <br />$108,636.50 <br />$121,135.60 <br />$127,455.00 <br />$151,533.90 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Buck Blacktop, Inc. of St. Paul, <br />Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized to accept the bids for the River's Bend Park South <br />Development Project according to the plans and specifications <br />therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the <br />office of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has <br />been signed. <br /> <br /> 3) That a contract award shall not be made unless the access <br />problem with Anoka County is successfully resolved within the 60 <br />day bid holding period unless the period is extended by mutual <br />agreement of the City and the low bidder. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the llth day of April, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
