The estimated Oh~ of the wetland is 877-878. As such home construction on Lots 4, 5 & 6 of Block 1 may infringe on the wetland: filling below the OHW is prohibited by DNR permit rules. It would be advisable to shift Okapi Street further east, if at all possible. The plat should identify the DNR wetland I.D. number (#2-727W) and a statement that DNR permits may be required for any alterations of the wetland. There may be other wetland areas outside the protected wetland which could fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Contact Tim Fell at 220-0360 for further info~-nnation. The City's Flood Insurance Rate Maps identify an area of 100-year (approximate study) flood plain on the property. filling of that area would require issuance of a conditional use permit under the City's floodplain controls.
