II.

CUMULATIVE POTENTIAL EFFECTS OF RELATED OR ANTICIPATED FUTURE
PROJECTS

The purpose of this project is to allow for controlled growth
in the southeastern corner of the City of Ra~.sey. With the
construction of a municipal sewer and water system for this
project, additional development can occur in the area. Future
development would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive
Plan and regional plans for the area. (Ramsey Comprehensive
Plan)

III. THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS ARE SUBJECT TO
MITIGATION BY ON-GOING PUBLIC REGULATORY AUTHORITY

This project is subject to an MPCA sewer extension permit.
DNR permits to appropriate waters and alter wetlands, and the
review and approval of the public water main extensions by the
Minnesota Department of Health.

The major issue with this project is access to the plat. As
part of the plat approval, the City will require a new street
to be constructed to the south of Hunter's Hill which would
provide access to Sunfish Lake Blvd. (EAW and Comments to the
EAW)

IV.

THE EXTENT TO WHICH ENVIRON~[ENTAL EFFECTS CAN BE ANTICIPATED
AND CONTROLLED AS A RESULT OF OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
UNDERTAKEN BY PUBLIC AGENCIES OR THE PROJECT PROPOSER, OR OF
EIS'S PREVIOUSLY PREPARED ON SIMILAR PROJECTS.

The Metropolitan Council and MWCC have conducted several
studies concerning the wastewater treatment needs for this
portion of the metropolitan area.

The most recent study completed is as follows:

"Northwest Area Study, Final Report", Metropolitan
Waste Control CoK~ission, prepared by Consulting
Engineers Diversified and CH2F~{i!i, June, 1980

In addition to the above, the City of Ramsey has completed the
following studies or plans, which address municipal utilities
required for the proposed project.

"Report on Comprehensive Sanita.~-y Sewer Plan for the City of
Ramsey", prepared by C.E.D., Inc., Septemfmer, 1975

"Comprehensive Sto_--m Drainage Plan for the City cf Ramsey",
prepared by C.E.D., !nc., February, 1950

"Comprehensive Water Plan for the City cf Ra~.sey, prepared by
C.E.D., ~nc., Septer~er, !951.
