CASE #14 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR ADOPTION OF EAW FINDINGS OF FACT AND ISSUING NEGAT1WE <br />DECLARATION FOR NEED OF EIS ON CEDAR HILLS ADDITION <br /> By:. Mark S. Banwart, Community' Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On November 16, 1988, City Staff recommended to City Council that an Environmental <br />Assessment Worksheet (EAW) be ordered for Cedar Hills Addition, Chestnut Hills Addition, and <br />Windcmere Woods Addition whenever the City received the sketch plan for Chestnut Hills <br />Addition. On January 3, 1989, the Planning and Zoning Commission passed a motion to <br />recommend to City Council a request to order an EAW for the three (3) developments. On January <br />10, 1989, file City Council ordered the preparation of an EAW for the three proposed developments. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Rules 4410 Environmental Review; the City as the responsible government <br />unit submitted the three EAV,'s for review. The thirty <br />(30) day comment period expired on April 5, 1989. A number of written responses were received <br />and have been addressed in the Findings of Fact.
