MUSA EXCHANGE UPDATE <br />By: Merland Otto <br /> <br />CASE #15 <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />city Council directed staff at the March 28, 1989 Council meeting <br />to negotiations with Metro Council so that an exchange of the MUSA <br />could move forward. <br /> <br />After consultation with MC staff, the City formally requested a <br />temporary delay on action on the January 26, 1989 MUSA 2000 <br />amendment submitted. This request was transmitted by letter on <br />April 11, 1989. A copy is attached. <br /> <br />A separate amendment has been prepared which proposes an exchange <br />of approximately 165 acres. The proposed exchange allows for Cedar <br />Hills, Chestnut Hills, and Juniper Ridge to be included in the 1990 <br />MUSA and removes Ramsey Terrace, Flintwood Hills, Pondvale Estates, <br />and an area east of Pondvale Estates from the 1990 MUSA. <br /> <br />The document requesting the exchange was submitted to MC on <br />April 17 after meeting with MC staff on April 14, 1989. A copy of <br />that document accompanies your agenda package. MC has indicated <br />that their review and action should be completed in 30 to 60 days. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for the MUSA <br />exchange on Hay 2, 1989. <br /> <br />Recon~endation: <br /> <br />No Council action is required at this time. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator X <br />City Autorney X <br />City Engineer X <br />Cc~uniUy Development Dir.
