Council member <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />RESOLUTION #13-07-125 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2013 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted June 25, 2013, <br />authorizing the completion of plans and specifications for the 2013 Pavement Maintenance <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted June 25, 2013, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for making the 2013 <br />Pavement Maintenance Program improvemnents including the sealcoating of streets, the removal <br />and replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb and gutter, the paving of wear course lifts, and <br />other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the following <br />bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids: <br />CONTRACTOR <br />Allied Blacktop Company of Maple <br />Grove Minnesota <br />North Metro Asphalt of Ham Lake <br />Minnesota <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />TOTAL <br />PROGRAM A <br />BID <br />$338,072.73 <br />TOTAL <br />PROGRAM B <br />BID <br />INCLUDING <br />ALT. BID <br />$153,095 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the <br />amount of $338,072.73 for the total bid for Program A, and North Metro Asphalt of Ham Lake, <br />Minnesota in the amount of $187, 286 for the total bid for Program B including the approved <br />alternate bid, or in the amount of $153,095 excluding the approved alternate bid, for the <br />construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authroized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of <br />the City of Ramsey. <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed. <br />RESOLUTION #13-07-125 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
