Public Notice <br />Attention: <br />City Water Customers <br />Odd/Even Day Sprinkling Ban <br /> To reduce peak water usage in areas served by the municipal water system, the city of Ramsey has implemented <br />an odd/even day sprinkling ban, pursuant to City Code 4.40.06 subd. 10. The sprinkling ban will be in effect from Memo- <br />rial Day until after Labor Day. <br /> Residents may water on odd numbered days if their address ends in an odd number, and on even numbered days if <br />their address ends in an even number. <br />7KHVSULQNOLQJUHVWULFWLRQLQFOXGHVQRZDWHULQJEHWZHHQDPDQGSPVLQFHDVLJQL¿FDQWDPRXQWRI <br />water is lost due to evaporation during the hot portions of the day. Homeowners with automated systems are strongly <br />encouraged to program them to operate after 10:00 p.m. This minimizes evaporation and lessens peak demand on the <br />system. <br /> In addition to the residential sprinkling ban, the City is in the process of implementing an irrigation policy that <br />LVVSHFL¿FWRWRZQKRXVHPXOWLIDPLO\UHVLGHQWLDODQGFRPPHUFLDOFRQQHFWLRQVWRWKHPXQLFLSDOZDWHUVXSSO\WKDWUHTXLUHV <br />that: <br />$OOLUULJDWLRQV\VWHPVPXVWLQVWDOODQDSSURYHGEDFNÀRZGHYLFH <br />• All irrigation systems must include a Rain Sensor device to prevent irrigation systems from operating during rain <br />events. <br /> Questions regarding the watering ban can be directed to John Nelson, Utilities Supervisor at 763-433-9861. <br />Fall Watermain <br />Flushing <br />in October <br /> The city of Ramsey Utility <br />Department will be doing their semi-an- <br />QXDOÀXVKLQJRIZDWHUPDLQVEHJLQQLQJ <br />Monday, October 9, through Friday, <br />October 25.
